What to Expect

Volunteer activities include building greenhouses and working on community-based tourism projects like building hiking trails, constructing waste bins, offering project site clean-ups, and ‘Leave No Trace’ environmental ethics training. As part of the trip preparation, we provide you resources for you to learn about Tibet’s history, culture, and way of life and become a spokesperson by sharing your experience of making a difference.

Part of the program experiences, you will stay with Tibetan homestay in the nomadic and farming communities or monasteries of Tibet and learn first-hand from the local Tibetans about their culture, history, customs, and traditions in the intimacy of their homes and daily lives. This is one of the best ways to experience Tibet.
