Are you a high school or a university student who aspires to engage in responsible global citizenship? Are you ready to connect your classroom learning to experiences in the real world? Do you believe helping others enriches your experience? If so, we invite you to explore our Service Projects for Students program to Tibet and make a difference by volunteering your time.
Our company is founded on the idea of “getting more out by giving more to local communities” and you will experience just that. We customize several unique service journeys for all ages, skills sets, and fitness level from a few days to 2 weeks. They include dental missions, medical missions, general volunteer missions, and programs for high school and college students, along with homestay experiences.
Volunteer activities include building greenhouses and working on community-based tourism projects like building hiking trails, constructing waste bins, offering project site clean-ups, and ‘Leave No Trace’ environmental ethics training. As part of the trip preparation, we provide you resources for you to learn about Tibet’s history, culture, and way of life and become a spokesperson by sharing your experience of making a difference.
Part of the program experiences, you will stay with Tibetan homestay in the nomadic and farming communities or monasteries of Tibet and learn first-hand from the local Tibetans about their culture, history, customs, and traditions in the intimacy of their homes and daily lives. This is one of the best ways to experience Tibet.
Many travelers like to extend their trip by taking advantage of our Add-on Tibet Trip to experiences. They travel to more popular places like Lhasa and other parts of Tibet. If this is the only time that you are able to visit Tibet in your life, we encourage you to make most out your time and leverage your international flight cost by planning an add-on excursion.
